Perform Numerical Experiments

The SCOOP infrastructure is now available for the numerical modeling community. The networked testbed has successfully performed large-ensemble calculations of numerical coastal models with the goal of predicting hurricane impacts in a 24/7, event-driven environment. The SCOOP infrastructure provides an extensible computational backbone for SURA's multi-disciplinary Distributed Coastal Laboratory (DCL) initiative. The goals include an open-access infrastructure for scientists to run, preview, store, share, compare and discuss numerical experiments of all kinds. The DCL will improve scientific interactions, and dramatically reduce the time to perform modeling analysis, prepare the numerical code, and manipulate inputs and outputs.

Although the DCL is still in development, some of its functionality can be previewed and tested. Please go the the test bed and log in using GuestUser, GuestUser.
